Silicone Rubber Insulation Tape

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A self-fusing silicone rubber tape made of top quality inorganic silicone rubber which possesses excellent electrical, chemical and physical properties. It is highly conformable, with excellent track, arc & ozone resistance. #9805SR is widely used as an overwrap as insulation for low-voltage applications as well as insulation for splices for up to 69,000 volts. The tape is also capable of operating continuously at 180ºC/356ºF (Class ‘H’) temperatures and is compatible with all synthetic cable insulations as well as cable splicing compounds.

PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

#9850SR is used as an overwrap for protection of terminating high-voltage cables against arcing and tracking. Typically used as a primary insulating material for silicone cables or any cables which operate in excess of 130ºC/266ºF but not exceeding 180ºC/356ºF.
