Electrical Semi-Conducting Rubber Splicing Tape

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A high voltage splicing tape made of premium semi-conducting EPR (ethylene propylene rubber) which possesses excellent electrical, chemical and physical properties. It is highly conformable, non-vulcanizing and has stable conductivity over a wide temperature range. Compatible with most solid conductors and conductors, it has excellent resistance to moisture, common solvents and ultraviolet (UV) rays.

PRODUCT APPLICATIONS

#9976SC is used to electrically round out high voltage connectors and lugs and for replacing the semi-conducting layer beneath the metallic shield of damaged cables. It is also typically used to form the conductive portions of stress cones, to provide screen continuity for high voltage joints and to round out the bolted connections on insulated bus bars.
